Take Time To Remember

If you think back on your life, you can probably come up with a few moments that changed your life. It changed the way you looked at the world, and it changed your relationship with Christ. In my heart, I feel it is important to remember these moments and reflect on them. The best part is all the scriptures that are out there to help you reflect. After some encouragement from my sister, I decided re-post this on our shared blog for you to enjoy. Take a moment and reflect on the things that have changed you, when has God worked in your life, what is a scripture you associate with that time in your life?

Tragedy
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you would have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33

Suffering
"I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us."  Romans 8:18

Comfort
"The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him." Nahum 1:7

"Come to me all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."  Matthew 11:28

"Though I am surrounded by troubles, you will bring me safely through them. You will clench your fist against my angry enemies! Your power will save me." Psalms 138:7

Forgiveness
"Your heavenly Father will forgive you, if you forgive those who sin against you."  Matthew 6:14

"And whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father also who is in heaven may forgive you your transgressions."  Mark 11:25-26

Strength
"The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him a habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt him." Exodus 15:2

"Trust in the LORD for ever, for the LORD God is an everlasting rock." Isaiah 26:4

"Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might." Ephesians 6:10

Joy
"Yes, the gladness you have given me is far greater than their joys at harvest time as they gaze at their bountiful crops" Psalms 4:7

"For you should go out in joy, and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands." Isaiah 55:12

"No wonder we are happy in the Lord! For we are trusting him. We trust his holy name." Psalm 33:21

"So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you." John 16:22

"May those who sow in tears reap with shouts of joy! He that goes forth weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shots of joy, bringing his sheaves with him." Psalm 126:5-6

It is important to always take time to remember. Each person remembers in their own way. But in all things remember the LORD, and remember he has brought you through everything you have endured. You are still standing, you are still breathing, and if you aren't dancing and singing yet, you will be.

It is important to take time to remember. Each event in your life has brought you to where you are right now. If you don't like where you are, you are the ONLY person who can CHANGE it. As my mother says, YOU DO NOT GET DO OVERS. So make sure you go after what you want with all your might. And praise GOD in the process.
